Our Story
Faith Sansthan was founded in 2005 by Smriti Singh, whose vision was simple but powerful: every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, loved and able to reach their full potential.
While working with vulnerable children in Jaipur, Smriti encountered many boys who had experienced neglect, abuse, abandonment or family breakdown. Among them was a young child living with HIV who had been rejected because of fear and misunderstanding surrounding the condition. That experience became the catalyst for creating Faith—a place where children would be welcomed with compassion rather than stigma, and where every child would be treated with dignity, respect and love.
What began as a small initiative has grown into a respected organisation providing long-term residential care for children referred through India’s Child Welfare Committee.
Although Faith continues to provide specialist care for children living with HIV, its work has expanded to support boys facing a wide range of vulnerable circumstances. Today, every child receives the same commitment to safety, education, healthcare and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Faith remains true to Smriti’s original belief that no child’s future should be limited by the circumstances into which they were born.
Our Vision
Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up in a loving family environment where they feel safe, valued and supported.
We believe that with the right care, education and encouragement, vulnerable children can overcome even the most difficult beginnings and build successful, independent lives.
Our vision is a world where every child has the opportunity not simply to survive, but to flourish.
Our Mission
Faith Sansthan exists to provide vulnerable children with:
• A safe and loving home
• Access to quality education
• Nutritious food and healthcare
• Emotional support and guidance
• Specialist care for children living with HIV
• Opportunities to develop confidence, independence and life skills
• The support needed to transition successfully into adulthood
Everything we do is centred around helping children realise their full potential.

A Home Built on Love,
Care and Opportunity
Aalingan means “embrace”, and that is exactly what every child receives when they arrive at Faith.
More than simply providing accommodation, Aalingan Boys’ Home offers children the stability and sense of belonging that allows them to heal, grow and thrive.
Every child is encouraged to discover their strengths, build confidence and develop the skills needed for independent adulthood.
Everyday Life
Life at Aalingan is built around routine, friendship and family.
Children attend school each day before returning home for homework, activities and time to relax together. Shared meals, celebrations and daily routines help create the stability that every child needs.
Whether playing sport, celebrating festivals, learning music or simply spending time together, the boys grow up in an environment that encourages kindness, responsibility and respect for one another.
It is these everyday moments that help transform a house into a home.
Education
Education lies at the heart of everything Faith does.
Every child attends school and receives additional support whenever needed. As the boys grow older, they are encouraged to pursue further education, vocational training or professional qualifications based on their interests and abilities.
Faith believes education opens doors to opportunity and gives every young person the confidence to shape their own future.
Health and Wellbeing
Every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy a healthy life.
Faith provides access to regular healthcare, nutritious meals, emotional support and a safe environment where children can thrive.
Children living with HIV receive specialist medical care, ongoing treatment and careful monitoring, enabling them to grow into healthy, confident young adults. At Faith, HIV is never seen as a barrier to opportunity or achievement.
Physical and emotional wellbeing are equally important, helping every child feel secure, supported and valued.
Preparing for the Future
Growing up is about more than education.
As young people approach adulthood, Faith supports them with career guidance, vocational training, higher education and practical life skills.
Former residents have gone on to become accountants, hospitality professionals, yoga therapists, electricians, teachers and graduates.
Their achievements demonstrate what becomes possible when children are given the opportunity to dream, work hard and believe in themselves.
Help Build Brighter Futures
Every donation helps provide children with the care, education and opportunities they deserve.
